Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the Order form/ Flyer for the exhibition next month!

Image

I've made a couple test prints in black and white and it looks fine! The only colour in the example you see is the main logo, however the rest of the design was created for photocopying in black only, thus should smash down prices!

What you see above is a "Spread" of the flyer, however in my tests I have made is a double sided print finished with a perforated tear off slip to take away!
Along with that, the print size has allowed for two flyers to be printed on a single sheet of A4, I can make originals to copy but please dont print the example you see above because the one I can make has crpo marks to cut out to allow for a perfect double-side finish!

To advertise these beauties I shall be creating a POS (Point of sale Display stand which will hold them in place! A bit like a leafet holder. It'll probably be unique, maybe two but I will work on it over the week, if all fails then....yay pile of paper for people to pick one up!

I've also added some quick photos to show the printed presentation because I've realised the online example doesn't do a lot of justice.

(My poor photography with a random digital camera doesn't do me much more justice considering these are flyers advertising a photographic exhibit.....LOL)

As a side note also, you may have realise the tear off slip has a nice straight line. Well that's because I have a funky little tool call a perferator! So all I need to do is get a ruler and that tool and voila, pretty little tear off lines without the need of scissors! Now we need a night to cut them all up when we get to print LOL

Looks great Alex......... One question I have have though. I'm sure Dawn said the 10x8 image would be £25.00? has Dawn changed the price?

All the information was provided by Dawn, so whatever is on the forms has literally been copied and pasted over and edited only for design formation (not information).

Gwynith has also gone over the copy a couple times too. Prices I'm unable to comment on however! Sorry Ian :(

No problem Alex......... I wasn't sure if it was a typo error......... Dawn has obviously worked out the prices accordingly......... Mind you looking at the quality of the images, £35.00 is a good price!! 8)

Haha fully agreed! The price is well worth work anyway. As Dawn said there was no point under cutting as it can undervalue you =)

Well done Alex, and thank you. (When I printed my own raffle tickets, we got neat perforations with a sewing machine! A bit long-winded, but effective and resourceful. I would like a perforator... simply because I don't have one.)

I have checked the first draft Dawn sent me, definitely says £35.00, so that's ok

Gwynith if you're at the club this week I'll bring mine in to show you, again it's long winded but to be honest it's a lot less hassle than a sewing machine!

Also if this is a design everyone is comfortable with, we're going to need a nice cheap place to get a good batch printed. The perforation can be done by me so don't worry about adding that to the costs.

£35 was the right price, Ian clearly wasn't paying attention ;)

One thing - there's no place to say what they should do with the order forms.. If the Fishmarket aren't going to assist in any way, should we have an address on there?
We can't leave a box because of the issue with money involved...
I'm not suggesting we put Dawn's home address on, but we need some sort of clear direction on there. We don't want to give the potential buyer any excuses to change their mind if we make it too hard for them...

I've text Dawn to solicit her opinion on addresses (she may be on holiday but she can't escape lol). The easiest thing to not hold up the printing is to keep the form as it is, and we can print labels out for envelopes when an address is decided on.

(Gwynith, you can probably see some of my Phoenix training coming through here lol).

The design looks fantastic though Alex :)

Haha you raise a very very valid point! I wonder why Dawn actually had in mind for that....a drop box does sound like a good idea, maybe they can place them into a box and we collect at the end to sort. It may have to be the case where contact needs to be made to confim their purchase rather than on the spot payment since no one is actually going to be there to sit and claim the forms and money.

You've been a busy boy!! Looks great..!

Dawn replied - she's happy about her address being used - I'd suggest we go with envelopes - make it easy for buyers..

Hubby has also suggested something else, that we offer a discount for people ordering on the launch day..? No need to change any forms but just a thought..?

If we do discount then I'd say the standard 10% would be a good start!

The address envelope is a good idea too hmmm. Anyone want to print a good few hundred?

As for the flyers, if I get 250 printed double sided at Staples is £10, 500 is £18.

I might not have a perforator, but I have a wonderful Dymo label printer, and can do a roll of labels dead easily

No probs, how many, do you reckon? 260 on a roll. Sounds a bit optimistic but I have no idea... what's the general opinion? Was a possible guest list discussed last week?

Guest list not really discussed - only really this thing about electronic invite Dawn was going on about..

Gwynith, what Dymo do you have? I only ask as I have some labels, but only I think will work in one of the older Dymo's - I used to have a newer one (bought an old one off eBay for a fiver, it didn't work and Dymo replaced it for free, I sold it after Phoenix days for £50 lol) and they require those black markers on the back.. I keep them just to handwrite on the occaisional label now...

You're very welcome! It's been a pleasure.

Also if I can get 250 printed then we'll only need the same amount of stickers. Does 250 sounds about right for a months worth of leaflets? Also any contributions to costs for getting however many we need printed is great. It's not a lot, but it helps! Normally we'd let Dawn do all this but she's away for one thing, and the last thing she needs is yet something else to sort out haha!

We could do with sorting out whether there are any other extra costs needed so everyone just has to pay one further amount?

Well if we include some smalls things, so far we've cost the cost of either £10 for 250 leaflets or £18 for 500 (if you pick 500 then it's going to be a looooooooong day of perforating LOL). Then we have maybe the costs of the stickers for envelopes, then the envelopes themselves? What else could be included I guess

Mmmmm the beautiful sound of easiness/laziness working away, don't you love that sound?
How many have you got going? 250? Because I could go get 250 done on Thursday afternoon or something

I probably have 258, allowing for a blank at each end of the roll, unless I was cheated and there were not 260 on it! Does anyone have envelopes yet? I am feeling confused about who is doing what, so it is a good job I am not even the teeniest bit in charge. I am happy to stick the labels on, if I had the envelopes.

I guess we can all confer on Thursday and it will all come together beautifully. And if we have prints by then, I can try perforating on Thursday... maybe.
