I thought it would be nice to offer people CDs of their images as part of their portrait session...

Which manufacturer of lightscribe CD-Rs or DVDs has anyone used, and where is a good place to buy given Amazon sends you off to one of their "partners"...

Also any specific Lightscribe apps anyone uses would be appreciated given the lappy doesn't appear to have any installed I can find..

i have a light scribe writer but they are a bit hit and miss with the image quality and they take so long to burn, so i bought printable cd's and use my canon printer to do them i think the colour images look much nicer

I have a lightscriber on my desktop, didn't know till a few months ago and Ive had it for years! Never needed it though, I just buy the printable discs and stick them in my printer, thankfully I got a printer than prints straight onto a CD, very sexual!

Interesting (aside from Alex getting overexcited over a label...!)

I don't have a printer capable of printing DVDs, and it would just be something better than a plain CD...

I may buy a small "cake" and see what happens...

Lightscribe seems to be very much hit and miss from what I have read and friends have tried. I use to produce my on printed CDs for my company few years back. Hence the original reason for buyng my Epson R300 which is capable to print directly onto printable CDRs. Happy to give a go if you like, depending on how many you need printed?

Give me a shout if interested. :)

Hmm you are all putting me off getting some!

Wayne it would only be a few - got one booked in for a couple of weeks, another end of Nov/start December. Can't see any more before Christmas - others booked are same format as brownies...
