Made a lightbox out of a couple of slimfast tins & added a dimmer switch to control uplight.... finished at midnight........ here is a couple of results....

here is the following:



Two slimfast tins... top tin.. drill out a hole in the base big enough to take a light fitting that is screwed through the hole as if you are using the tin as a lamp shade (make sure the lamp is facing upwards) DOH... The second tin is then is drilled at the side near the base of tin big, enough to allow a cable to run through..... Get a single light switch box & hold against the second tin and drill through the prehole on the box right through the tin...
use a small nut & bolt and tighten the box up to the tin.... once done straighten switch box up & drill a second hole through & bolt accordingly..... once done, drill through the centre of the box & tin (this allows cables to pass through up to light fitting.. Pass the cable though the side of the tin (in this case red & black) pull the black cable right to the top of the tin allowing enough length to connect to the light fitting on the first tin.... The red cable you pass through the hole which goes through the centre of the switch box ( you need to cut the red wire, but first make sure you give enough length to allow the cut wire to pass back through the hole and up to the top of the tin to connect to lamp fitting with the black cable...... Once cut, the wire end which comes from the side of the tin needs to be connected the dimmer switch (I used a one way switch) normally marked L, the cut end of length then needs to be connected to L1 of the switch....... Screw up the dimmer switch to the box......... Connect the two cables to the light fitting as per normal..
Then I used gaffer tape and sealed the two tins together as photo shows..... Wire up a plug as you would normally ( if not sure, ask a adult to do this for you or a Man!!) LOL.......... As pic shows, I used a grinding disk that has a hole in the middle for the top.. but any cover that is resistant to heat of a bulb would do...... I have used a 60watt candle bulb for the light source..... The reason for using these tins is that they have a shiny reflective surface on the inside so make the light even more stronger.... Use the dimmer stitch to control the brightness of the light that you want to put on the subject..,.
By the time of having to write this out , I could have made another one Lol Lol...

I was going to put that as a header, but I thought I might upset someone in this political correct environment we live in today.....
When I put it on the display this morning, it got all the kids talking, especially when i said it was one of the children that I shone a torch in his mouth & that got them all wanting a go...
