Ok folks, we are planning a trip back up the lincolnshire coast this year to photograph the wild seals that come in land to have their pups.

Its the weekend of the 14th November, from Friday to Sunday, the date is NOT changeable as some members needed to book accomodation.

SO if you want to come and need some where to stay, here is a good place,

http://www.poplar-farm.org.uk/ there are already members of the club booked in there and they do have some places free currently.

If you want more info please let me know....

Here is some information for photographers going to Donna Nook.

http://www.wildsight.co.uk/articles/donna-nook.html

Poplar Farm takes caravans too. Check out their website.

www.poplar-farm.org.uk

There is a photo showing a motor caravan there, so it looks as though they take them too. However, the whole area will be getting filled up with seal-watchers so don't take too long in booking.

Some of us will be staying in a caravan at Sutton-on-Sea, and I guess will be behaving badly on at least one of the weekend evenings.

Brilliant, after seeing the photos from the last trip you did I definately shall be coming this year. On my calendar already! My dad lives at Chapel St Leonards so I will stay there as only 15 mins away.

I've been to Poplar Farm today and can confim that they take motorhomes, touring caravans and tents (November? Brrr...).

They also have 2 static cravans for rent, and of course the holiday units. They are getting new leaflets printed, and should be sending me some once they have them to hand. When/if I get them, I will bring them to club, but I just want to remind people that accommodation around here gets very quickly booked for 'seal-time'

I will also send this to registered forum users so as to reach the ones who registered but don't use it, so some of you will get that as well.

Yes of course it is.... its a long walk out to the sea though so you might want to stay closer to the top of the beach..

For those staying at the caravan, and those staying elsewhere but visiting, the address is:

Sutton Springs
Sutton Road
Trusthorpe
Mablethorpe
Lincolnshire
LN12 2PZ

When you arrive, you will need to call me so I can come and open the barrier. You need to be at the main entrance to the Sutton Springs site, not the bottom end nearest to Sutton 0n Sea itself. Please PM me if you need my mobile number, or directions, or if you want me to stock up on buckets and spades for you before you get here. How exciting! (Note to self: get bin bags for the empties...)

Anne tells me the tide is in at 4, so I haven't got to hold on *all* day... I was having visions of being out at sea at 8am and not coming back til dark... :)

Low tide is 10am and high tide 4pm so we need to be there for 9.30/10am that will give us plenty of time :-) to get back before the tide starts to turn again :-)

That's a lot considering the beach is the size of a tennis court.

Only joking
