Can anyone give me some ideas / suggestions for card readers. As you probably know I'm off on SAFARI!!!!!!!!
OK I've calmed down now.
I currently have 3 x 4gb and 1 x 1gb cards (mostly thanks to the post about CF card offers a while ago). After spending the day the other weekend photographing Vaughan I realised how quickly they get eaten up!
I was thinking about taking my laptop on holiday when I go so that I can download, thus not needing any further cards. My laptop has a CD so I can burn backups, but doesnt have a card reader.
1. Do you know of where to get USB card readers / which ones...
2. Are there better alternatives to backing up from CF's ie another device rather than the laptop? My laptop is abit cr4p so not sure how many gb it will hold (although could always burn disks) but then again dont want to spend every evening lownloading then burning...
Thanks for your help.
Sara

I bought a Trust 12in1 reader from Walmart for £14 a while back and its USB compliant so as long as laptop supports you get high transfer rates.

AP had review of some harddisc thing which you put card in, downloads pics too. It was 60 or 80gb device I think, but not that cheap £1?0 but an idea - i try dig out article if you like?
